ROLE SNAPSHOT:

Looking to make your next move in the World of Accounting? Previous experience in construction or manufacturing industries is highly regarded.

Generally, the duties of the position are:-

Reports directly to the Company Accountant;

Enjoys a high level of support from the ABN Accounts Support office in Perth;

Provide assistance and support to Company Accountant in EOM and Quarterly reporting;

Reconcile and prepare working papers supporting general ledger accounts;

Prepare complex progress claim & cash flow schedules for large commercial contracts;

Assist in the preparation of management reports, profit and loss statements, budgets and other statutory accounts;

Investigate and analyse variances and undertake other analyses as directed;

Assist with completed job reconciliations;

Process fortnightly payroll and monthly commission payments (including journals);

Prepare and maintain commission & retainer reports;

Setup new employees, superannuation, terminations, transfers, payroll reports and workers compensation claims when required;

Train and backup staff during periods of absence;

Month end reconciliation of balance sheet accounts including staff purchases & clearing accounts;

Debtor control and cashflow;

EOM journals;

Maintain procedure files;

Create & maintain asset cards and prepare depreciation journals;

Assist with supervision of accounts staff and overseeing AP functions;

Relieve Company Accountant as needed;

Any other duties as required by the Company Accountant;

Any and all other duties as required.
