There is currently an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Senior Accountant with a professional demeanour and strong technical expertise to work in a profitable, professional and progressive Accounting Practice, with a culture based on trust and caring for clients.Reporting directly to the Partners, you will manage a small team of qualified Accountants, and as part of this busy team you will ensure the outstanding delivery of service to a varied clientele. You will have strong expertise in Business Services and Tax law along with the technical skills required to review the work of those who report into you.

Duties as a Senior Accountant

• Preparation of financial statements, income tax returns, BAS & GST compliance for all business structures.
• Liaising with clients regarding tax, auditing and accounting requirements
• Supervising a team of accountants regarding compliance requirements
• Oversee the monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements for statutory reporting purposes
• Proactively work to identify best practice methods for internal process improvement: their creation and implementation.

As a successful Senior Accountant you will possess

• Finance or Accounting qualifications
• CA or CPA Qualified
• A minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role
• High degree of computer literacy
• Strong planning and organisation skills
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills
• High attention to detail
• Keen investigation skills to identify business and system improvements
