Reporting to the Commercial Manager and leading a team of 3 Business Analysts the opportunity to move into a Commercial Manager role will become available at the end of the 3 month contract. This role will suit a highly confident and driven Cost Accountant who is looking to further their career. Responsibilities: - Report and analyse actual against agreed targets for material wastage processing yields operational efficiencies
- Perform costings as required for new and current products and processes
- Assist in preparation of annual budgets and updated forecasts for all areas of the business
- Analyse business trends and make recommendations for improvements
- Analyse expense and highlighting major variances and cost reduction opportunities
- Assist budget holders in allocations of expenses to budgets / accounts and rectifying errors
- Heavily involved in various project works to improve system enhancement and automating current business processes
- Supervision of three Business Analysts
- Ad hoc analysis requested by the business
Experience & Attributes: - Minimum of 3 years cost accounting experience
- Demonstrated ability to meet timelines and reporting deadlines
- Advanced MS Excel skills
- Strong communication skills - written and verbal
- CPA / CA qualified
