Our client is looking to start 2012 on the right foot by employing an experienced, dedicated and hardworking Accountant who thrives on challenges and enjoys having a good time. Ideally someone with a Retail background in Accounting would suit this environment, however all experienced applicants will be considered. An opportunity has become available for a capable and confident Accountant to join this retail group.  Reporting to the MD, you will be responsible for the following tasks:

• Accounts Payable / Receivable
• Monitor weekly cash flow
• Profit and Loss statements
• Month end financial reports
• PAYG, BAS, GST, Superannuation etc
• Overseeing / monitoring financial performance against annual budget
• Assist with the preparation of year end and audited financial report
• Assist with preparation of annual budget
• Managing a team of 4-5

In order to be considered for this position, you will possess: 

• Experience working in a similar position
• Tertiary qualifications in Accounting
• Advanced MS Office skills (Word, Excel)
• Excellent communication skills
• The ability to work autonomously and with minimal supervision
• Impeccable organisation and problem solving skills  
• Candidates with AP21 experience will be highly regarded however certainly not essential
