My client is a non-profit organisation in the Education sector. They are looking for a (Executive) Assistant Account to join the team. Role has come about to organic growth of team.

We are looking for a candidate who is mature-minded and confident in a professional environment. This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated and experienced candidate who is looking to expand their role.
 
Your role will be to you assist the Assistant Director (Finance and Business Improvement) with the management of the financial function  including:
 
The role:
 
"           Data entry processing for a broad range of transactions including all credit cards, cab charge and petty cash.
"           Responsibility for the Accounts payable and Accounts receivable functions including sending remittance advices and taking account queries.
"           Preparation of Petty Cash Reconciliations
"           Assist with preparation of Bank Reconciliations
"           Assist with preparation of Monthly Balance Sheet and General Ledger Reconciliations
"           Assist with preparation of payroll including superannuation payments
"           Assist the Assistant Director (Finance and Business Improvement) with the Finance Committee and Board Level reporting
"           Assist the Assistant Director (Finance and Business Improvement) with the annual audit of the association
"           Booking of travel arrangements for staff, this includes flights, conferences, accommodation, hire car etc.
"           Seek ways to continuously improve accounts procedures and practices.
"           Ensure and maintain the highest confidentiality, discretion and integrity of information and materials associated with the role.
"           Keep up to date with systems, policies and procedures and have the ability to assist others.
"           Maintain a high professional and ethical profile in accordance with industry and organisational standards.
 
The Candidate:
 
Within the context of the responsibilities described above, the ideal applicant will be someone who has:
 
"           Formal accounting accreditation or qualification with 2 - 3 years' experience in a similar role or an equivalent    combination of relevant experience and/or education and training
"           Strong attention to detail, along with high level customer service and communication skills
"           Previous experience with software accounting packages is highly regarded.
"           Outstanding time management and organisational skills.
"           Computer literate - advanced in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
"           Ability to use discretion and initiative in dealing with confidential matters on behalf of the Executive team is essential.
