Our client, a well known Government Department is currently seeking an experienced APS 6 Financial Accountant for an initial 6 month non-ongoing contract or a permanent S26 transfer. 

Duties:

• Assist with monthly reporting and financial statements
• Undertake balance sheet and cash reconciliations 
• Provide support to the direct manager where required
• Assistance with the development and maintenance of training documentation for staff
• Drafting reports and report writing
• Undertake adhoc project work as requested

Qualifications/Experience:

• Exceptional financial statements experience and knowledge
• Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written
• Good analytical and numeracy skills
• Tertiary qualifications in Accounting or similar field is highly desirable
• CPA/CA preferred
