Japanese Accounts Payable Analyst

My Client is a well established global financial institution. The company is second none with their approach to learning and career development within this dynamic yet close knit team. Currently an opportunity exists for Accounts Payable Analyst to join the organization in their Sydney CBD offices.

As an Accounts Payable Analyst you will be responsible for undertaking accounts payable and associated accounting for region entities.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Receive invoices from suppliers and correctly log them within the GL Accounts Payable System
  • Process invoice payments
  • Maintain and monitor aged creditor balances and escalate issues to the Account Services Team
  • Assist in ensuring compliance requirements
  • Maintain employee travel and expenses policy
  • Maintain and reconcile fixed assets register and create and post depreciation journals
  • Adhoc projects and process improvement implementation

You must have solid accounts payable experience within a financial services organization with an international background. You will have basic bookkeeping knowledge. You will speak fluent Japanese but also have excellent English written and communication skills and have the ability to work in a high pressured environment with limited guidance. This role would suit a strong team player, who is able to demonstrate initiative and creative thinking and has the ability to build strong working relationships, liaising with employees at all levels
