Our client, a highly respected Government organisation t is currently seeking an experienced Financial Modeller to join their team for an initial 6 month contract with opportunity to apply for permanent position. Essentially part of the Economics team, the role will sometimes cross over into the Compliance team. Reporting to the Team Manager on a daily basis, through to the CEO, the successful candidate will undertake a number of duties.

Duties:

• Preparing inventory and other reporting for the organisation
• Accumulating data and creating/maintaining spreadsheets for inventory reporting
• Assist in determining prices for electricity and utility services from using existing models
• Using those models to change and enhance methodologies and reporting requirements
• Report writing
• Potential to work across and contribute to other projects in the longer term
• Further duties as required.

Requirements/Skills:

• Previous experience, knowledge and understanding of applied financial modelling 
• Understanding of finance and economics
• General understanding and experience with Visual Basic and Microsoft Access
• Ability to analyse data
• Advanced Excel skills
• Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written
