Worldwide leader in technology seeks an experienced SPMS Specialist to join there growing team. Initially a 12+ month contract to join this global team based in Sydney with view to extend.
The SPMS Workspace Engineer is responsible for bringing together SPMS's services into an end-to-end solution to meet our client's enterprise computing requirements.
The services delivered by SPMS include:
- Image Build incorporating design, build, support and maintenance of workstation and server operating system builds and desktop enterprise platforms.
- Software Packaging services for automating installation of applications for distribution to end user devices.
- Software Distribution using management tools such as SCCM, Tivoli, and Microsoft Active Directory to distribute applications and provide patching services to end user devices.
- End User Computing Flightdeck enabling proactive approach to end user device management and monitoring.
- Self-Enablement services providing users with the ability to request access to applications, including email and mainframe hosted environments through a web-based portal.
The successful applicant will be technically strong in all areas of Software Platform Management Services toolsets and processes (e.g, MDT, SCCM, Tivoli, VMware, thin client, application compatibility and virtualization, scripting and automation), and will have detailed technical knowledge of Microsoft operating systems (e.g. Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2) with Microsoft qualifications such as MCSE highly regarded.
Must be a leader in technology and consistently look for new and improved ways to execute solutions. Must have a willingness to share technical knowledge and work with other architects to provide enhanced delivery solutions for our customers and our business.
The SPMS Workspace Engineer will also provide technical direction to SPMS delivery centre personnel and provide instruction and mentoring in order to achieve team objectives and drive quality improvement effort.
