We are currently working on a number of Infrastructure Project Management roles available within Sydney CBD location with a leading IT Innovation and Consulting firm. These are client facing positions, that work in pursuit and qualification of the new strategy of outsourcing engagements and incremental business opportunities, and deliver a broad range of application management operations. In this position, you will project manage assigned projects related to Infrastructure outsourcing eg. Server of desktop refreshes, Data Centre Power Remediation, Data Centre Server Decommissioning Projects or general Infrastructure and data centre projects.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Knowledge of the PMI Process Groups; Initiating, planning, executing, controlling, and closing. Knowledge of current Project Management methodologies. PMI certification or equivalent is desirable.
• Prior experience with an IBM Strategic Outsourcing engagement would be very advantageous.
• Prior experience working for a service provider would be very advantageous.
• Strong recent experience in managing IT infrastructure projects end to end. Good knowledge of security and networks desirable. Bid experience is not necessary.
• Clearly communicates team results to immediate management / project manager.
• Establishes and maintains clear mechanisms to communicate project status and change with the project team, other staff and the client.
• Must be able to effectively communicate resource needs and project issues with management / project management.

Desired Experience

• Infrastructure projects in the Banking industry; network projects (e.g. detailed designs, implement new IPS, switches), security projects (e.g. firewall upgrades); relocations projects; refresh projects.
• Very strong Infrastructure experience in the Westpac / IBM application and data centre environment - experience essential.
• Experience in Data centre fit-outs including network, power, SAN and infrastructure hardware and managing related dependencies.
• Experience in Virtual Environments will be well regarded.
• Infrastructure projects, including preferred experience with Intel, Midrange or Mainframe platforms, SAN, TSM, Security infrastructure, Power Remediation and Server Decommissioning.
