This Federal Government Department is looking for a Senior Project Manager for an initial 3 month contract with potential 2 year extension. You must have experience managing the implementation of complex IT projects from initiation through to the building and testing stages.

The responsibilities of this role include:

• Overseeing the development of business requirements, tendering for an IT Solution, build, test and implement a system for support.
• Leading a small team
• Stakeholder engagement
• Communications

You must have the following skills:

• Demonstrated leadership skills in managing a small team to achieve project outcomes.
• Project management, including experience in managing complex projects and consultancies to achieve successful outcomes, with minimal guidance or direction.
• Communications, including a demonstrated ability to prepare timely and high quality written reports, briefings and correspondence, and to build productive working relationships with key stakeholders (including across jurisdictions).
• Stakeholder engagement - including the demonstrated ability to operate as part of a policy/implementation team, to communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders and maintain productive engagement with internal and external stakeholders.
