Our client is a diverse logistics organisation who provides transport and related logistics services throughout Papua New Guinea for a variety of customers including manufacturers, EPCM's and other projects. They are one of the leaders in providing road transport services in remote areas and under challenging conditions.    
 
They are currently looking to employ an experienced Driver Trainer to be responsible for maintaining and constantly assessing a well trained pool of drivers capable of driving safely on some of the most difficult roads in the world.
 
This person will be developing and implementing a plan to recruit, train, assess and risk manage the entire driver management program ensuring that there is sufficient drivers available to meet the operational demand.
 
It is important that these drivers are trained to be competent in the transport of cargo including oversize cargo and dangerous goods. 
 
As an experienced driver trainer / assessor from a RTO or transport operator the successful person will develop the entire driver recruiting and training structure across three locations throughout the country.
 
In order to secure this role, it is essential that this person hold a current Cert IV qualification in Frontline Management (Training and Assessment) and have previous experience working for either an RTO or transport operator in a similar capacity. This person must also display a mentoring style that will encourage learning and development.
