Our client is in the process of a unique recognised strategic procurement transformation project.
Reporting to the Director your role will be responsible for managing the procurement function for a major contract/project which has been awarded to our client worth approximately $1bn.
The key drivers in this exciting role will be to manage a team of 3 and ultimately you will be responsible for improving the overall efficiency of the procurement function whilst identifying key issues and utilising your experience in solving them. You will also be responsible for the on-going training of your team in Supply Chain Management practices and methodologies. Overall you will be responsible for creating and managing work packages for the contract/project including work contracts for in-situ steel fixing, concrete and pipe testing.
You will be an expert in Procurement preferably from a Construction background but other candidates will be considered . You will have excellent negotiation and stakeholder management experience. You will be an excellent Category specialist including driving the strategy forward as well as having contract management experience in your background.
